Westlake Hills is a planned 131-unit neighborhood near Crozet being developed by-right. [1] The developer, Riverbend Management needs to obtain a critical slopes waiver in order to proceed because 27 potential lots are affected by critical slopes.[2] Residents of the Crozet area have expressed concern that the development will detract from the small town atmosphere of Crozet as well as put pressure on current traffic patterns.[2]

The project was originally slated to be 145 units. Construction on the first phase will begin in the fall of 2012 and Riverbend anticipates a ten-year build-out. [3]
