WTJU is an FM free-form radio station licensed to the University of Virginia and operating on 91.1 FM. The station began broadcasting in 1957 after funds were put forward by the Kappa Delta Pi fraternity to help the Department of Speech and Drama get a radio station on the air[1].
Long-time general manager Chuck Taylor retired at the end of 2009[2].
