WMRA is a public radio formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Harrisonburg, Virginia with a Crozet translator, WMRY, that broadcasts in Charlottesville on 103.5 on 280 watts. [1] [2]

The network broadcasts primarily NPR news and talk programming, with classical music weekday evenings, and folk and blues on the weekends, along with programs such as Car Talk and A Prairie Home Companion. WMRA is owned and operated by James Madison University.

It went on the air in 1969[citation needed] and also carries programs the BBC World Service, Public Radio International, and American Public Media.
