Vinegar Hill Theater is an independent movie theater in downtown Charlottesville.

Opened in 1976 by Chief Gordon and Ann Porotti[1] as a classic movie venue,[2] the theater was purchased from Porotti in 2008 by Adam Greenbaum of Visualite Cinemas in Staunton.[3][2] It currently[when?] shows domestic and international films and participates in the Virginia Film Festival and the Virginia Film Society.[2]
