The University of Virginia Investment Management Company (or UVIMCO) is the entity responsible for handling investments made by the University of Virginia.

UVIMCO's portfolio had fallen dramatically due to the 2008 financial crisis, but increased by 12.5 % in FY2010 to end with a balance of $4.45 billion[1]. By September 30, 2010, the investment value had climbed again to $4.74 billion[2].

Management

Lawrence E. Kochard was appointed as the new chief executive officer in October 2010 and will take over on January 1, 2011[3].
