The Transportation Funding Options Report was released in October 2005[1] and outlines potential new sources of revenue to fund transportation projects in Charlottesville and Albemarle County. The project was commissioned by the MPO Policy Board at the request of the Citizens Committee for City-County Cooperation "to address severe statewide budget constraints and the need to expedite implementation of regional transportation projects."[2]. In short, the report listed several ways to generate revenue to pay for eight projects that totalled $100 million in costs.
