Biographical Information

Tom Vandever is the Charlottesville Democratic Party co-leader (with Jim Nix) for 2010. He served as a two-term City Councilor, and as Mayor of Charlottesville from 1992 to 1994[1][2].

City Council

Vandever told The Hook in 2006 that his biggest achievements included converting Water Street to two-way traffic, allowing traffic to cross the Downtown Mall at Second Street NE, and supporting the Charlottesville Ice Park[3].

Vandever was elected as a Democrat in both elections.
