Terry W. Hawkins is a former Albemarle County sheriff and former candidate for the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors. In 1999, Hawkins was the Republican nominee for the Scottsville seat on the Board that was vacated by his first cousin, Forrest Marshall, Jr[1]. Hawkins was defeated by Lindsay Dorrier (D) in the November election. A long-time resident of Crozet, Hawkins moved to the Mill Creek neighborhood in 1997[2].
1999 Election
The County Republican party nominated Hawkins at their caucus on May 8, 1999[3].
Service as Sheriff
He was first elected sheriff in 1987.
