1834 – Wilson Cary Nicholas Randolph was born at “Edgehill’’ to Thomas Jefferson Randolph (grandson of Thomas Jefferson) and Jane Nicholas. He became a leading physician in the community, rector of the University of Virginia for eight years and was appointed to the Council of the Town of Charlottesville during Reconstruction.
