- 1900 – 1901-1902 Constitutional Convention: In a special session, the General Assembly passed the necessary legislation for the convention. 100 Delegates were selected based on representation in the House of Delegates. J. H. Lindsay and W. H. Boaz were elected to represent Albemarle County and the City of Charlottesville.
- 2011 – Albemarle House was sold at a foreclosure auction to the Bank of America for $15.26 million shortly after former owner Patricia Kluge declared bankruptcy. In 20212, Real estate mogul and television reality star Donald Trump was able to negotiate a price of $6.5 million for the house, which is nearby Trump Winery.
