Taneia M. Dowell was appointed to the Planning Commission by the City Council on August 18, 2014. [1] She was reappointed in October 2018. [2]
Dowell also ran as one of two independent candidates seeking to succeed Lee Richards as Charlottesville's Commissioner of Revenue. [3] Her opponents are fellow independent John Gunter and Democrat Todd Divers.
