Tandem Friends School is a private coeducational school for grades 5-12 with an enrollment of 240 students, in the Quaker tradition[1].

History

Tandem was founded as the Tandem School in 1970, serving grades 9-12. The school added grades 5-8 in 1983. In 1995, Tandem formally adopted Quaker education and renamed itself Tandem Friends School.[2]

Tandem moved to its current 24.5 acre campus in Albemarle County[3] in 1972[2].
