Suggestions for Featured Pages

Any especially good pages worth featuring on the home page? Meekohi (talk) 10:36, 26 January 2019 (EST)

It would be good to start rotating some of these over time. Not ready to do that today but I would like to refresh this more frequently. --Seantubbs (talk) 11:39, 8 October 2021 (EDT)
Totally agree -- if you spot a good article in passing but don't have time to refresh it, just ping me on Slack and I'll swap it out for you. Meekohi (talk) 11:51, 8 October 2021 (EDT)
Picking up on our conversation earlier, I don't think I finished the thought. But, in my newsletter yesterday, I put in a plug for people to help me find out who the last person to resign was. I'd forgotten that this morning, but I agree with you that the main page isn't for breaking news. But, I think there are ways to spotlight how cvillepedia can provide context and history. For all I know, the answer is already here but I've not had a chance to do the research yet! Thank you for fixing the style issue. --Seantubbs (talk) 18:02, 5 January 2023 (EST)
I believe the answer is here - hiding under the section: 1928–present > 1967. This page is still a work in progress...I need to finish adding the notes to the symbols, i.e. died in office, etc. Not sure if symbols or alphabet should be used. Jmh6d (talk) 22:02, 5 January 2023 (EST)
You truly are my hero. I knew it was there somewhere!--Seantubbs (talk) 09:43, 6 January 2023 (EST)

Added a link to the FCG report

I added a link to the FCG report on the main page. Does it need a little more context? Insert non-formatted text here

Suggestion for Main Page

Regarding earlier discussions as to "spotlight how cvillepedia can provide context and history"....I would like to suggest the following code be added to the Main Page where noted. (FYI - these events can be change/added on the main article On this day...) ~ Jmh6d (talk) 21:04, 30 October 2023 (EDT)

On this day in history...

  • 1970 – The Lindsay family, owners of The Daily Progress, announced a sale to the Worrell Newspaper group. Published daily since September 14, 1892, the paper was founded by James Hubert Lindsay and his brother Frank Lindsay. The Lindsay's family owned the paper for 78 years. The Progress was initially published six days a week; the first Sunday edition was printed in September 1968.
