Page Design

What exactly is the new MAIN template doing for us here? Why not just link to the Former City Councilor page? --Bwheeler 16:15, 26 June 2009 (EDT)

It's a concept stolen from wikipedia proper. It's heavily used; example here; I figure if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for us. It indicates that there is a whole article on the subject, with the possibility of saying a little about it in the article it's used in.
