Albemarle County is currently seeking funds for Tabor-Hilltop Pedestrian Improvements, a project that would improve community mobility in Downtown Crozet [1] The project could qualify as a Safe Routes to School project but the county will not pursue that avenue.

Project Description

"The purpose of this project is to connect pedestrians from Downtown Crozet to the Claudius Crozet Park. To provide ADA/pedestrian accommodations and crosswalks from Crozet Avenue to the existing sidewalk along Hill Top Street leading to the Claudius Crozet Park."

Status

  • July 24, 2019: The pre-application receives initial blessings from the the MPO Policy Board
