The Sunrise Trailer Park is a mobile home park located in Charlottesville's Woolen Mills neighborhood. The Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville is currently planning to redevelop the park. They are currently seeing a rezoning from the City of Charlottesville to Planned Unit Development to allow for a mixed-use, mixed income neighborhood with a maximum of 60 residential units, with up to 12,800 square feet of non-residential use. The rezoning will go before the Planning Commission on October 13, 2009. Habitat purchased the site in 2004[1].
Approvals
The Charlottesville City Council approved Habitat for Humanity's plan for Sunrise Trailer Park in November 2009. [2]
