The Southwood Mobile Home Park is located off of Fifth Street Extended in Albemarle County. As of January 2010 there are 1,229 residents living in the more than 350 trailers in the park[1].
Redevelopment
Habitat for Humanity is developing plans to redevelop the park with at least 500 affordable housing units. Construction isn't expected to begin until at least 2013[1].
Bus service is available through Route 2B of the Charlottesville Transit Service.
