Sol B. Weinberg was elected to the Charlottesville City Council in 1952 and 1956. [1] He announced he would not seek a another term in 1960 due to health reasons. [2] He was appointed mayor in 1954.

He also served on the Charlottesville School Board

Biography

Weinberg was born in Staunton and moved to Charlottesville in 1923. He attended the Staunton Military Academy, the University of Virginia and the school of pharmacy at the University of Maryland.
