Sena Magill was elected to the Charlottesville City Council in the November 5, 2019, receiving the most votes in the six-way race. [1] [2] She placed third in the June 11 primary.

Magill's campaign received $10,000 from Albemarle County resident Sonjia Smith in the second half of 2018. [3]
At a campaign forum on February 23 sponsored by LauraPAC, Magill cited her experience as a provider of mental health care as an asset. [4]
