Agenda item No. 6 - Resolution - Issues: Dockless bikes and scooters, Transportation Title:Interim Bicycle & E-Scooter Sharing System (aka “Dockless Mobility”) Permit Program Regulations This item would create a pilot program to test dockless bike share in Charlottesville and a permitting process for permanent operations. Dockless bike share involves using an app to unlock bikes-for-rent and then leaving them anywhere when done. This regulation would include creation of parking corrals in certain areas throughout the commercial district (such as the Corner, West Main Street and the Downtown Mall).
