The Route 20 / Route 649 Roundabout is a planned transportation improvement planned by the Virginia Department of Transportation that is one of six Albemarle County Design-Build Projects combined into one contract.
Curtis Contracting of West Point was awarded a $28.5 million contract by the Commonwealth Transportation Board at their meeting on July 19, 2019. [1]
The total project cost is $4 million. Engineering is budgeted at $700,000, right of way is budgeted at $1 million and construction is budgeted at $2.3 million.
