Roosevelt Brown Boulevard
Portions of what is now Roosevelt Brown Boulevard (at least the City expanded portions of the road between West Main Street and Cherry Avenue) were previously known as the “9th/10th Street Connector.”
By resolution at their regular meeting on September 18, 2006, the 2006 City Council unanimously approved re-naming a road as the “Roosevelt Brown Boulevard”, in honor of Roosevelt Brown, an NFL Hall-of-Famer and Charlottesville hometown hero. The road was previously known as the 9th/10th Street Connector.
