Rives Park is located on Rives Streeet between Florence and Monticello Roads. Features include half of a basketball cout, a picnic shelter, a playground and an athletic field. The park went through the master planning process in 2007 and 2008 and renovations began in January 2014 following a slight delay. [4]
Gardens
The Rives Park community garden was established in 2015 and contains 12 plots measuring 20′x20′ each.[5] The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board received 54 individual public comments, 100% of which were supportive of creating the garden.[6] It was approved by the City Council on September 15, 2014[7] over opposition from the Belmont-Carlton Neighborhood Association.
