Location of proposed RST Residences, which will redevelop the Ridgewood Mobile Home Park property

Ridgewood Mobile Home Park is a mobile community off of U.S. 29 in northern Albemarle County, bordering the Forest Lakes subdivision. RST Development submitted a proposal in July 2020 to redevelop the property as a 370-unit apartment complex. [1] The Board of Supervisors approved a rezoning for the RST development project in September 2021, changing the zoning of the property from R-1 Residential to Planned Residential Development, which will allow for increased housing density.
