Patrica H. Cooke is a former member of the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors who served in the early 1980's. She served three terms as vice chair. He would serve as chairman for a total of almost 12 years, the longest tenure since 1943. She and fellow Supervisors Gerald Fisher and Ellen Nash took a trip in the mid-1980's to Poggio a Caiano, Italy, to set up a student exchange program.
Cooke asked to step down from the MPO Policy Board at the Board's meeting on September 10, 1986. She had served on the body since it was formed. At that meeting, she also mentioned that she was the owner of a business in a major shopping center in the city, and reported that many people were using dumpsters at commercial shopping centers.
