- 1925 – UVA President Edwin Alderman returns home following a ten-week stay in Europe. [1]
- 1930 – Stringfellow Barr becomes editor of the Virginia Quarterly Review. [2]
- 1938 – Virginia Governor James Hubert Price attends University of Virginia football game against Washington and Lee. [3]
- 1959 – A hurricane the day before leads to flooding conditions on the Rivanna River completely inundating the Bagby Show Grounds off of East High Street with five feet of water at a time a carnival was setting up. Several carnival employees were presented with emergency housing. [4]
- 2003 – Albemarle County Board of Supervisors adopt an anti-displacement plan for Whitewood Village related to renovation of the community and construction of a community center. [5]
