Nicholas Meriwether II

Nicholas Meriwether II (October 26, 1665 - December, 1744) was a landowner significant in the early history of Albemarle County. In 1735, Meriwether secured a patent for land in what would eventually become eastern Albemarle County. [1]

Biography

Meriwether was born in Surry County to the first Meriwether to emigrate from England. He married Elizabeth Crawford, the daughter of a large landowner in New Kent County. One of his estates was The Farm. [2]
