Navarre Bartz won election to the Thomas Jefferson Soil and Water Conservation District to represent the city of Charlottesville as a write-in candidate. He won with 94 votes. He succeeds Kim Tingley in the seat.

Biography
Bartz receiveds a bachelor's degree in ceramic engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, as well as a master's degree from Virginia Tech.
Election 2019
Bartz created a website to organize people to vote for him as an advocate for sequestering carbon through soil management as well as removing pavement.
