Nancy Carpenter is one of ten candidates for interim Scottsville District Representative to the Albemarle Board of Supervisors following the June 2013 resignation of Christopher Dumler.[1]

Carpenter announced her intention to run as an independent for Charlottesville City Council in the 2017 election. There will be two open seats on City Council, currently held by Kristin Szakos and Bob Fenwick. Carpenter is one of four candidates running as independents.
