Michael Strine is the University's Executive VP and COO, effective July 1, 2011. He has been vice president for finance, chief financial officer and treasurer for The Johns Hopkins University. He replaces Leonard Sandridge, who is retiring after serving on the position for the past 44 years. [1].

Biography

Strine joined Johns Hopkins in 2008 and has been responsible for overseeing a $4 billion budget. Prior to that, he served as chief financial officer for New Castle County, Delaware. He served as executive director of the Delaware Public Policy Institute from 2003 to 2005 and chief of policy and operations for Delaware's department of finance from 1997 to 2003.

Strine graduated from the University of Delaware in 1986 and received an M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from Johns Hopkins. [1]
