The list of Charlottesville City Council members below is current as of January 2018. There are currently 4 Democrats and 1 Independent on the Council. For notable past members of the Council, see Category:Charlottesville Council members.

Council leadership

(At the first meeting on January 2, 2018, the City Council elected Council Member Walker to act as president to preside at its meetings and continue in office two years. At the same time, the City Council elected Council Member Hill as vice-president to preside at such meetings in the absence of the president.)
