Melanie S. Miller is chair of the Charlottesville Board of Architectural Review, appointed in 2011. Her term ends on January 1, 2016.

Miller moved to the community in 2002 after living in the New York City metropolitan area. She currently is self-employed as a consultant in retail services, focusing on the apparel industry. She is a 1993 alumna of Mississippi State University, having graduated with a degree in marketing. [1]

Miller has been a board member of the Martha Jefferson Neighborhood Association since 2003 and formerly served as the group's president. She is co-chair of the Charlottesville Historic Resource Committee and also a volunteer coordinator at the Burnley-Moran Elementary School PTO[1].
