McGuireWoods is a major U.S. law firm founded in Charlottesville in 1834 by Egbert R. Watson. ^[1] ^[2] It is now headquartered in Richmond.

The firm became McGuireWoods in 2000 after a series of acquisitions of other law firms. ^[1]
