Matthew Steven King was a University of Virginia graduate student killed on April 19, 2010, at age 23[1] when the bicycle he was riding was hit by a City of Charlottesville sewer maintenance vehicle. The crash happened at the intersection of 4th Street NE and West Main Street.
A vigil honoring his life was held four days later.
