Literacy Volunteers Charlottesville/Albemarle (LVCA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the estimated 9,000 adults in Charlottesville and Albemarle County who are believed to not be able to read[1]. LVCA provides one-on-one, confidential tutoring in basic literacy and English as a second language to adults living or working in Charlottesville and Albemarle County. LVCA was founded in 1983.

In early 2013, the group moved into new offices at the Jefferson School City Center[2].
