Bert Sperling and Yahoo Real Estate once again ranks Charlottesville as top place to live in the county. [1]


2010

  • USA Today ranks Charlottesville as #6 college town[2].
  • Charlottesville listed as America's 9th "Brainiest City" by Richard Florida of the Martin Prosperity Institute at the University of Toronto[3].

2009

  • The Charlottesville metro area is named in the top 50 places in the country to launch a small business by Money Magazine.[4]
  • The Arbor Day Foundation awards Charlottesville with both a Tree City USA and a "Growth Award"[5].

2004

  • Authors Bert Sperling and Peter Sander selected Charlottesville as the best place to live in the United States in "Cities Ranked and Rated" for the year 2004.[6][7]
