Membership is open to individuals at a cost of $55 per year. Activities include candidate forums, a voter guide, voter registration, and a guide to locally-elected officials. Members and public are invited to monthly Community Dialogues and annual Legislative Luncheon (first Friday in January).  Committees include:  International Relations/Federal Government; Natural Resources; and Women's Issues.


In September 2012, the [[League of Women Voters of Charlottesville and Albemarle]] has officially merged with the [[Fluvanna County League of Women Voters]].  The group is now known as the [[League of Women Voters of the Charlottesville Area]]. In September 2012, the League of Women Voters of Charlottesville and Albemarle officially merged with the Fluvanna County League of Women Voters. The group is now known as the League of Women Voters of the Charlottesville Area. It encompasses the entire geographic area of the Thomas Jefferson Planning District: the City of Charlottesville, as well as Albemarle County, Fluvanna County, Greene County, Louisa County and Nelson County.[1]
