Biography
Belmont resident Knott moved to Charlottesville in 2005 from Austin, Texas. She is landscape architect with John Milner Associates. She received a BA in Anthropology and History from the University of Alabama in 1981, a BA in landscape architecture from Louisiana State University in 1991, and a masters in historic preservation from the University of Texas in 2004. Knott has served on the board of directors for Preservation Piedmont since 2011 and helps run their Document Before Demolish program. From 1999 to 2004, she served as senior planner for Austin, Texas. [citation needed]
