Kurt Burkhart

Kurt Burkhart is the executive director of the Charlottesville Albemarle Convention and Visitors Bureau, a position he has held since January 2009. At this post, he serves as the group's spokesperson, oversees its budget and manages "destination marketing" for Charlottesville and Albemarle County[1]. His previous job had been as director of the Carlsbad Convention and Visitors Bureau[2].
He will step down from the position on May 1, 2018. [3]

Background
Burkhart is a Board member of the Rotary Club of Charlottesville, the Downtown Business Association of Charlottesville, PVCC Advisory Board, SOCA, and the Chamber Agribusiness Roundtable[1]. He is a part of the Leadership Charlottesville class of 2011-2012. [4]
