Keller & George is a jewelry store that originated in Charlottesville in 1875. It was originally founded in 1873 by French A. Balthis. His cousin Thomas Keller was a master engraver who went to work with him in 1874. [1] The pair went to work with each other, but eventually would separate into two separate businesses.

In 1893, watchmaker Harry Alexander George went to work with Keller, and the store was renamed.
