Julian Bond taught at UVA's Corcoran Department of History from 1992-2012. He was born Horace Julian Bond on January 14, 1940, in Nashville, Tennessee.[1] He was a civil rights leader and former head of the NAACP.[2] He died on August 15, 2015. [3]
