John "Jack" Eacott Manahan

Jack Manahan (December 11, 1919 - March 22, 1990) was a Charlottesville resident known for his eccentricities and later marriage to Anna Anderson Manahan.

Biography

Jack was born to John Levi and Lucile Becker Manahan in 1919.[1] His father was the Dean of the Education School at the University of Virginia, and according to family friends, was incredibly hard on his son, and did not trust him to carry on the family's name or wealth well. His mother, though, was recounted as a kind woman, who doted on her son.[2]
