James C. Norwood is a candidate for the Scottsville District seat on the Albemarle Board of Supervisors.

Education

Norwood received his BA in Economics from the University of New England, where he also is currently a member of the Board of Trustees.[1]


Community Involvement

Locally, he has served as the president of the Charlottesville American Heart Association and president of the Charlottesville Regional American cancer society. Likewise, he currently serves as Director of Economic Development for the [[Scottsville Community Chamber of Commerce|Scottsville Chamber of Commerce.[2]

Norwood served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict.[3]

2011 election

In the 2011 election, Norwood was a Republican candidate for the Albemarle Board of Supervisors that was vacated by retiring Lindsay Dorrier
