The Islamic Society of Central Virginia is an organization dedicated to building the Muslim faith in Charlottesville and surrounding communities.
In 2009 the society is engaged in a $2.5 million effort to build a mosque in Charlottesville. In 2000, the group purchased a site on Pine Street and are currently[when?] trying to raise funds for the project, which will include a study center[1].
