Henry Alexander Yancey (1895-1985) was a civil engineer and served as Charlottesville’s city manager from October 1, 1924 until August 31, 1931. He left the city to become city manager for Petersburg, VA and was replaced by Seth Burnley. He later served as city manager for Durham, N.C., Greensboro, N.C. and Charlotte, N.C. [1]
