Frank Buck served as Mayor of Charlottesville from 1980 to 1988. He broke a long-standing tradition on City Council by holding the position for four consecutive terms.
Buck presided over the bail-out of the Omni Hotel, the creation of the revenue sharing agreement with Albemarle County and the creation of Darden Towe Park[1].
