The Fontaine Avenue Ramp Improvements are a planned transportation improvement planned by the Virginia Department of Transportation that is one of six Albemarle County Design-Build Projects combined into one contract.
Curtis Contracting of West Point was awarded a $28.5 million contract by the Commonwealth Transportation Board at their meeting on July 19, 2019. [1]
The total project cost is $2.9 million. Engineering is budgeted at $600,000, right of way is estimated at $300,000 and construction is estimated at $2 million.
Project purpose
