The Field School is a private boys school in Albemarle County providing grades five through eight. The Field Schools motto is omnis puer scitus et frater or every boy known every boy a brother.

History

Founded in 2007, the school was first housed in the Claudius Crozet Park Community Building for its first two years. In 2009 the School moved to the old Crozet high school, which was built in 1924. The school is in the process of finding a new and more permanent home. Their application request is being reviewed by the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors.

Directors

The current Director of the Field School is the also the founder, Tod Barnett.

Location

The Field School is located at 1408 Crozet Avenue in Crozet Virginia, in Western Albemarle County.



The proposed location lies on Polo Grounds Road off of Route 29 North of Charlottesville.
