Eric Strucko

Eric Strucko represents the Samuel Miller Magisterial District on the Albemarle County Planning Commission. On May 28, 2009, Strucko announced he was seeking election to the Albemarle County School Board to succeed Jon Stokes. Strucko previously ran for the County Board of Supervisors in the County's White Hall district in 1999 and 2003 before being appointed to the Planning Commission.

Biography

Strucko was born in 1965.

1999 Election

Strucko declared his candidacy for the White Hall seat on March 31, 1999, making his speech to a group of supporters who gathered at the Albemarle County Office Building. He ran as an independent during this race and took on Walter F. Perkins. At the time, Strucko ran on a platform of growth management[1].

2003 Election

In 2003, he was the Democratic candidate for the White Hall seat on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors and was defeated by Republican David Wyant. On November 4, 2003, Strucko received 47.44% of the 2,495 votes cast in the election[2].

2009 Election

On May 28, 2009, Eric Strucko announced he was seeking election to the Albemarle County School Board to succeed Jon Stokes.
