In the summer of 2013, Supervisor Ann Mallek sought permission from the Virginia Department of Transportation to prohibit through trucks from using the road. [1] The Board of Supervisors held a public hearing on the topic on March 9, 2016. Afterwards, they opted to pursue alternatives including a lower speed for trucks. [2]
